1 corinthians 9:22

1 Corinthians 9:22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. This was a powerful verse for me. This changed the way I look at reaching out to people. The first thing I notice is the point of becoming weak to help the weak. My thought on it was make people feel like you’re not better than them and you both are on the same playing ground in life so you have something common with that person. Relating to someone one is a good first step in starting deep conversation with them. Relating to someone is hard if you’re wearing the newest shoes but they are wearing none. The lord calls us to make them feel at home with you and not make them uncomfortable from a feeling of being less then you. If I got 1 lesson from this verse it would try to always make people comfortable and never less then you in every situation. The last sentence something huge “I have to become all things to all people so tha

colossians 1:11

Colossians 1:11 Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience. When I read this verse, I reversed it and read it the other way. Endurance and patience, are where we get or strength in the lord. Without endurance to run gods race for life we are not strong and strengthened through him. Endurance is so huge because our life feels so long because our struggles are constant in this life. Patience is one more thing that helps us through life b. Patience is one more thing that helps us through life. Patience is needed in situations such as sharing the gospel to people that are not receiving the message. This can make you feel worthless or foolish but with god like patience you could wait for years for them to get the message.   I think Strength is the most powerful word in this verse that is why these other words are describing that very word.   God has the strength to move mountains, heal the blind and raise peo

luke 21:19

Luke 21:19 Stand firm, and you will win life. ‘’Stand firm’’ what does firm mean to you? The meaning is “not soft or yielding when pressed” this means never moving or wavering in your beliefs no matter how much you could be ostracized for them.   What is the feeling you get from winning a game in your favorite sport, video game or succeeding where you focused your time? A great one I’m guessing. This is one of the times in the bible that our vocabulary is not intricate enough to describe what we could be feeling if we won life or succeeded in our mission to live for God. Seeking the lord is our mission and the only way that it is possible is if we seek gods face with our whole heart. If you are seeking god with your whole life, you are guaranteed to win life or eternal salvation. If you are Guaranteed something it means ‘’you are assured a particular outcome.’’ God assures us that we are going to heaven if you stand firm. after I really thought and prayed about this, I

luke 8: 11-15

Luke 8: 11-15 This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of god. Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. The seed that fell among thrones stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. “Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it” This line made me think about how broken people are more open to a loving God because their broken and they need someone to fill that gap in their heart. They have a hard time growing their roots in God because every other person in their life has broken them when they finally began to trust them most. That’s why thi

Ephesians 5:15-17

Ephesians 5: 15-17 Be very careful, then, how you live not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.   Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the lords will is.   “How you live not as unwise but as wise” we all don’t know the answer and will never be totally wise or have total wisdom. What is wisdom to you? to me it is how close you get to god in your heart, others can see this. Wisdom is made by diving fully into his word consistently and steadfast. I believe that it is great to have fun activities in life but once they take president over god they should be cut out of your life. Wise people know the happy medium and how often god calls them to be in prayer and many other works of him. It is extremely hard to stay out of things that can consume us instead of letting god truly consume us and take over are daily life. For example many of us fall into foolish ways such as watching tv. This is no sin but it is a true and

2 corenthins 1:12

2corenthins 1:12 Now this is our boast: our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, with integrity and Godly sincerity. We have done so, relying not on worldly wisdom but on god’s grace.    I long for integrity and godly sincerity what does that truly mean. Integrity is one thing that I strive for daily because I want to be surrounded by people that have great integrity so who am I not to be trustworthy or have integrity. Sincerity is one thing that you want your friends and piers to have but are we truly sincere. We have all gave empty compliments such as “your hair looks nice today” this is the farthest thing from sincere. Sincerity is only found truly in Christ he truly and sincerely loves us through and through. Through being sincere with each other Galatians 6:2 says, “carry each other’s burdens ” we have to be sincere in everything we do or it does not mean a single thing and in prayer to help each ot

james 3:13-17

James 3:13-17 “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” “Who is wise and understanding among you?” This is one line that really spoke to me, “who is wise.” Yes, we all have the pastors in our mind but for me I have people that have shown me through their faith they have done good deeds. People who live outside of their flesh and live through him and for him in there every day life. My dad paid for some families’ groceries that didn’t have enough money even i

psalm 111:10

Psalm 111:10 The fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise. The power of the lord is what I fear. If you don’t fear the lord you don’t realize how much power he has at his fingertips. He moved mountains, he gave the blind sight and healed the sick these are just a couple crazy miracles. Miracles such as these can’t even be described by earthly power. For his power used in wonderful ways he deserves all the praises unto him. we should try to fathom his power even though it is impossible so we poor out with praises. Wisdom comes from knowing his power and knowing you must live for a god that is all powerful. Fearing the lord is such a huge gain is your walk because right when you start fearing is when you get a little glimpse of his power. the lord calls us all to become as wise as possible for that is what makes us better servants. You cannot fear the lord and not believe because by fearing s
